Le jour-m\u00eame o\u00f9 la France \u00e9ter\u00adnelle c\u00e9l\u00e8bre une nou\u00advelle vic\u00adtoire des Lumi\u00e8res sur la bar\u00adba\u00adrie, elle pour\u00adsuit <\/span>l\u2019air de rien<\/span><\/i> une mis\u00adsion civi\u00adli\u00adsa\u00adtrice dont la l\u00e9gis\u00adla\u00adtion et les m\u00e9thodes ont ins\u00adpi\u00adr\u00e9 tous les fas\u00adcismes (ain\u00adsi du code de l\u2019in\u00addi\u00adg\u00e9\u00adnat de 1881, pre\u00admier \u00ab \u00e9tat d\u2019ex\u00adcep\u00adtion \u00bb d\u00e9cr\u00e9\u00adt\u00e9 par la R\u00e9publique, qui ins\u00adtaure une citoyen\u00adne\u00adt\u00e9 de second rang et auto\u00adrise les sanc\u00adtions col\u00adlec\u00adtives et les d\u00e9por\u00adta\u00adtions \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9\u00adcart du droit m\u00e9tro\u00adpo\u00adli\u00adtain). Celui qui, par\u00adlant \u00e0 \u201ctous\u201d, s\u2019adresse \u00e0 certains.<\/span><\/p>\nComme toute guerre, la Guerre d\u2019Alg\u00e9rie est l\u2019histoire de tous. C\u2019est aus\u00adsi, dans sa forme et sa cruau\u00adt\u00e9 sin\u00adgu\u00adli\u00e8res, l\u2019oeuvre d\u2019hommes aux pro\u00adfils com\u00adpl\u00e9\u00admen\u00adtaires : mes\u00adsie r\u00e9demp\u00adteur (De Gaulle), lib\u00e9\u00adra\u00adteur (Massu), col\u00adla\u00adbo z\u00e9l\u00e9 (Papon), sans oublier la pr\u00e9\u00adfec\u00adto\u00adraille scru\u00adpu\u00adleuse qui ob\u00e9it sans poser de ques\u00adtions, assure la <\/span>conti\u00adnui\u00adt\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00c9tat<\/span> dans la tem\u00adp\u00eate de l\u2019Histoire. Tous ont le <\/span>par\u00adcours ordi\u00adnaire<\/span> des \u00e9lites fran\u00ad\u00e7aises (lyc\u00e9es pres\u00adti\u00adgieux, grandes \u00e9coles, \u00e9tudes de lettres et de droit, bo\u00eetes \u00e0 noblesse d\u2019Empire) ; beau\u00adcoup ont fait leurs <\/span>huma\u00adni\u00adt\u00e9s<\/span> ; \u00e0 tous on a appris petits ce que for\u00admu\u00adle\u00adra De Gaulle au seuil de ses <\/span>M\u00e9moires<\/span><\/i> : \u201cLa France vient du fond des \u00e2ges\u201d. Ces hon\u00adn\u00ea\u00adtommes, mora\u00adle\u00adment d\u2019un seul tenant (probes, bos\u00adseurs, rigou\u00adreux) ne furent fina\u00adle\u00adment vic\u00adtimes que de leur raf\u00adfi\u00adne\u00adment, pas\u00adsant inex\u00adpli\u00adca\u00adble\u00adment, dans le clair obs\u00adcur du des\u00adtin, du tri\u00advium au tri\u00adpa\u00adlium. <\/span>L\u2019air de rien.<\/span><\/p>\nOn en res\u00adte\u00adrait l\u00e0, s\u00fbre\u00adment, sans se far\u00adcir cette \u201cpo\u00ef\u00e9\u00adtique\u201d des bour\u00adreaux.
